Admission Requirements and Procedures:

You must meet the following requirements to apply for this program.​

1. You must be 18 years of age. Provide proof with a drivers license, State issued ID card, passport or birth certificate.

2. Applicants must complete an application provided and pay a $50.00 application fee.

3. Each student must obtain a PA Criminal background check.  (Must be dated within the last year if you had one recently)

4. You must complete a reading assessment test.  This is to establish a baseline and           awareness to know what level of expectations may lie ahead.  There is no fee involved. You will have two (2) attempts to score a 70% or better. This exam must be done in person with an instructor. Upon receiving your application, you will be contacted to schedule a date and time for this exam.                                                                                                                                

5. Each prospective student must write an essay titled “Why I want to be a Dental Assistant.”

 

Class sizes are limited per term, therefore students are admitted on a first come first serve basis.  Students can apply for this program on our website.  Applicants must submit the $50.00 application fee at the time of submitting the application.  Application fee is non-refundable, unless requested within 5 days of receiving your application.  For future employment you may be asked/required to have the Hepatitis B vaccination, COVID 19 vaccination, and provide a Child Abuse Clearance history form PA Department of Human Services (PADHS).  Once your application, criminal background check, reading assessment, and essay are received and reviewed for approval, you will be contacted by an instructor to schedule your in person reading assessment.
